I am very proud of my accomplishments, and the opportunity to serve, and volunteer in my community. The past 26 years have gone by fast. Last year was a big year! Celebrating my silver anniversary in a recession and counting my blessings. I am working harder than ever, but I am really lucky to have the opportunity to live my passion and do what I love. Creating bouquets and designs for all of my customer's life events is a privilege and an honor. One of my relatives complemented me on my Aunts funeral arrangements. I told them that even though its hard to do my families flowers, I know that my flowers bring comfort.
My story is about living the American dream. I have loved flowers my whole life. Classmates remember me talking about owning my own shop while I was in high school.
In the summer of 1984, I realized my dream to open my own flower shop and with $750 in my checking account, that dream came true as well as many others...Marrying the love of my life and creating "my own" wedding flowers. I still have that passion, drive, and commitment to follow that dream. 27 years later I still love flowers and my shop.
My father, who's passion was Witte's Vegetable farm in Cedarburg, offered me these sage words of advice. He said, ”be fair, offer a good product and service, and always live by your word.” These basic principles are the basis of my values. I have added a few more words of wisdom. Keep up on the newest trends and flower care procedures, enjoy fresh challenges and have fun and whenever possible be sure to have balance in my life.
